Ring Branch Guide

Ring Branch is a feature designed to streamline PBX call management, allowing seamless transfers to extensions, external numbers, voicemails, and more. Previously, these call routing functions were managed through the Connect Branch.

1. Multiple or Direct

  • Direct: The system immediately executes the function without additional input from the caller.
  • Multiple: The system presents a menu, allowing callers to choose an option.
  • Greeting Requirements:
    • Direct: No greeting required.
    • Multiple: A greeting is necessary to inform callers of available options.

2. Allow Direct Extension

  • When Ring is set to Multiple, you can enable the Allow Direct Extension option.
  • This allows callers to dial an extension directly, even if no input is pre-configured in the menu.
  • Suggested Greeting: “If you know your party's extension, you may dial it at any time.”

3. + Add

  • Use this button to add another input option in the menu.

4. Select Type

A. Extension (Ext)

  • Connects the caller to a specified extension directly.

B. Queue

  • Rings multiple extensions simultaneously.
  • Queue groups can be created under Phone System → Queues.

C. Voicemail (VM)

  • Sends the caller directly to a voicemail box.

D. Phone

  • Forwards the call to a mobile or other external phone number.

E. Goto

  • Redirects the caller to a different branch.

Additional Options

  • Call Duration: Set how long the call should ring before moving to the next step.
  • Voicemail Box: Set a voicemail box.
  • Confirm Call: Require call confirmation when answering.
  • Interrupt: Allow callers to return to the menu during the call.
  • Music on Hold (MOH): Play hold music instead of a standard ringtone.
  • DID as CID: Display your hotline number instead of the caller’s number when receiving the call.
